G. (Gabriel) Mr. Gabrielli Sanchez

Gabriel Gabrielli Sanchez is a lawyer, economist and External PhD Candidate in EU Energy Law at the University of Groningen. He is also a PhD Candidate in Law at the University of Almería. His doctoral research focuses on the requirements established by the European Union to determine when electricity used for hydrogen production can be considered renewable. His work is situated at the intersection of EU energy law, renewable hydrogen regulation, EU internal market law, environmental law and energy market regulation.

His academic and professional profile combines law, economics, finance and software engineering, allowing him to examine the European energy transition from legal, economic, financial and technological perspectives. His broader areas of expertise and interest include financial economics, financial markets, international trade, digital technologies and the regulatory challenges created by the transformation of European energy markets.
