On the basis of growing interest in neo-Kantian philosophy and inspired by a first successful international meeting in Amsterdam in 1997, a second Amsterdam international symposium will take place from the 23rd until the 25th of May 2001. During this meeting entitled "Der Streit um die philosophische Methode: Neukantianismus und das Erbe des deutschen Idealismus" ("The dispute on philosophical method: neo-Kantianism and the heritage of German Idealism") and organized by the Association for Neo-Kantian Studies at the Departments of Philosophy of the Free University of Amsterdam (VU, The Netherlands) and the University of Groningen (RUG, The Netherlands)* prominent scholars in neo-Kantian research will make the following contributions:

The languages of the conference are German and English.
In addition we give the opportunity to a limited number of colleagues to follow this programme by participating in the discussions.
