Medical Systems Biology Metabolism plays a key role in most, if not all diseases. Metabolism is complex, not just due to the many different molecules involved, but rather because the interactions between metabolites give rise to non-intuitive phenomena. I am passionate to tackly this complexity, using computational modelling and advanced analytical techniques. To this end my group collaborates in interdisciplinary teams with clinical experts, chemists, biologists, and computational modellers. It is our ambition to contribute to better diagnosis, monitoring and treatment of patients.
