A.U. Paramitasari

Sustainable heritage conservation becomes the central of her PhD project. The aim of the study is to investigate the environmentally sustainable heritage conservation effort in Indonesian cities, by looking into the lenses of urban planning and policy, heritage study, spatial history, and environmental study, focusing on the impact of urban climate in the historic area. This project is expected to contribute in balancing the current discourse and critics on the importance of the environmental concern and consideration to the existing heritage conservation practice in Indonesia.

She graduated from bachelor's degree in Architecture Program, Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta (2014) and master's degree in Urban Design Program, Institut Teknologi Bandung (2018). She is a member of ICOMOS Indonesia, Indonesian Institute of Urban Designers/IARKI and Indonesian Architect Association/IAI.

She is part of Pusat Studi Urban Desain (Center of Urban Design Studies) as an urban designer and urban planner, working in design and research projects in Indonesia. She worked as a research assistant at the School of Architecture, Planning, and Policy Development, Institut Teknologi Bandung, focusing in indoor thermal comfort, green building policy, and urban heritage conservation. Her main interest includes urban sustainability, urban design and planning, and heritage conservation.
