Andreea Stănescu is a PhD Candidate with a joint appointment at the University of Groningen and Alliance Manchester Business School. Her doctoral research focuses on improving audit quality by exploring the opportunities and challenges auditors face when integrating ESG risks into client risk assessments — a topic of growing relevance in today's business and regulatory landscapes.

She holds a Master's degree in International Business & Management with a focus on Sustainable Finance and a Bachelor's degree in Communication & Information Studies, both from Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. She also serves as a Peer Reviewer for Elsevier, evaluating manuscripts submitted to The British Accounting Review Journal and ensuring the quality of published academic research.

Andreea brings a diverse professional background that spans academic support, financial auditing, and communication.
