American Studies

How did Donald Trump become president? Is “America First” a betrayal of values, or a return to origins? Why are “This is America” memes so controversial? The American culture, politics and economics had and continue to have an immense impact on nations around the globe. Our daily lives are often shaped more by Hollywood and the Dow Jones than by our own national institutions and traditions. In American studies, you’ll learn in depth about how to answer these questions and the relationship between the Americas and the rest of the world. Learning how to speak fluent English is essential in becoming a link between nations all around the world.
