Symposium

The ninth 'Quantum Universe' (QU9) symposium will take place on Thursday April 18 2019, i.e. the week before Easter, at the University of Groningen in the Netherlands.

The event is part of the track "The Quantum Universe" of the Physics and Astronomy Master programmes, a collaboration between the Van Swinderen Institute for Particle Physics and Gravity (VSI), the Kapteyn Astronomical Institute,  the KVI - Center for Advanced Radiation Technology (KVI-CART) and the Bernoulli Institute (JBI). The aim of the symposium is to present new developments, both theoretical and experimental, in (astro-)particle physics and astronomy and to stimulate interactions between the different institutes.

Masterclasses

The symposium with be preceded on Wednesday April 17 2019 by a set of masterclasses, primarily aimed at bachelor and master students. It is also open to interested PhD students and postdocs.
