Public Engagement Community Event

We are excited to announce that the next PE Community event will take place on Monday, 9 March (12:00-17:30), at USVA!

Everyone whose work contributes - or who wants to contribute - to (design for) public engagement, science communication, citizen science at UG, UMCG, Hanze, NHL Stenden is invited to join us.

On this day, we bring together colleagues from institutions across the Northern Netherlands to get to know each other, share experiences, and discuss public engagement - what it means to us and what kind of institutions we want to be. Through open conversations and inspiration, we explore shared challenges, improve collaboration, and strengthen connections with local communities.

We are delighted to announce that Femke den Boer, Director for Science and Culture (Utrecht University), and Miranda Thoen, Department Manager for Centre for Science and Culture (Utrecht University) will join us as invited speakers. The afternoon will also include several breakout sessions, as well as networking opportunities. 

Whether you’re PE staff, a policy officer, academic, early career researcher, lecturer, or student -you’re welcome.
