Programme: Celebrating openness - Open science in the North: Growing together - 30 March 2026

Join us on 30 March 2026 for an afternoon celebrating the many ways in which academics make their research and teaching more accessible and transparent.
This year’s Celebrating Openness event focuses on community building with open science.
Experts from the UG, UMCG, and Hanze University will come together for a panel discussion on how we can collectively strengthen and shape open science in the Northern Netherlands. There will also be ample opportunity for participants to exchange experiences and ideas on building and sustaining communities around different open science practices.
During the programme, the 2025 Open Research Award ceremony will take place, and the three winners will present their case studies in short lightning talks.
Location: University of Groningen Library, Tammeszaal (4th floor)
Organisation: Open Science Community Groningen (OSCG) and University of Groningen Library
