Hon. Professor Rob Middag was on the national radio

Chemical oceanographer Rob Middag was a guest in Early Birds on the occasion of his inaugural lecture as professor at the University of Groningen on the importance of trace metals. These low concentrations of metals are important building blocks for life in the ocean. According to Middag, the ocean is heavily affected by climate change and is under increasing pressure from pollution and exploitation. In his inaugural lecture he argues for more 'ocean literacy'. We still know far too little about the underwater world, which is so decisive for life on earth. Listen to the interview.
