Van der Maarel new Director of the Graduate school
As of May 15th 2018 Prof. dr. Marc J.E.C. van der Maarel succeeded Petra Rudolf as director of the Graduate school of Science and Engineering (GSSE). Next to his tasks for the GSSE Van der Maarel will remain functioning as chair of the research unit Aquatic Biotechnology and Bioproduct Engineering (Engineering and Technology institute (ENTEG)). We congratulate Marc with his new appointment and wish him lots of success!

Marc van der Maarel is a microbiologist/biochemist with a MSc degree of the Radboud University Nijmegen and a PhD degree in Microbial Physiology from the University of Groningen (1996). He worked for 9 years with TNO Quality of Life in the field of carbohydrate modification and was research manager and team leader with the Food Innovation Center of AVEBE. Van der Maarel was appointed professor with ENTEG in 2011.
