Title: Boundary conditions and Lyapunov-stability in the Navier-Stokes equations

Abstract:

In fluid dynamics, and in particular in biomedical applications, several types of boundary conditions for representing the effect of neglected physical domain are used. Unfortunately, the most practical choices do not ensure the time-stability of the solution, and therefore some modifications are needed. In this talk, we will give an introduction to this topic, also summarising the most recent contributions in the field.
