Title: Interactive sketch processing

Abstract: Sketching is a widespread activity to illustrate and communicate ideas. It is an important component in many domains; map drawing in geography, anatomy/dissection drawings in science and graph drawing in mathematics. Further, it is a useful tool for professionals in the context of storytelling, animation, modeling, concept generation and many other artistic works. Unfortunately, working with sketches at a professional level requires experience and expertise. Our goal is to find interactive solutions that help non-professionals to improve their sketching skills immediately.

In this talk, we will focus on two sketch-related challenges; generating a clean vector representation from a rough raster sketch and precise coloring of a rough sketch with gaps. Our solutions combine maximum flexibility and minimal user effort.
