Title: Towards efficient computing with future heterogeneous systems

Abstract:

As Moore's Law is slowing down, computer architecture now shifts towards increasingly parallel and heterogeneous systems. While such systems can deliver continued increases in both performance and energy efficiency, programming these systems can represent a significant challenge, in particular when targeting scientific applications with large code bases. In this talk, we consider heterogeneous systems with FPGA accelerators and how new programming models may help to overcome current limitations.
