APECS Netherlands
Via APECS mentors Annette Scheepstra and Maarten Loonen is the Arctic Centre supportingthe Dutch national committee of the Association of Polar Early Career Scientists ( APECS-NL).
APECS facilitates international and interdisciplinary networking to share knowledge and experiences, provides opportunities for professional development, and promotes education and outreach to stimulate future generations of polar researchers.

Yousra Makanse - Ph.D. student at Wageningen University & Research specialising in Antarctic tourism. ProAct - Proactive Management of Antarctic Tourism.

Erika Varik - Research assistant at University of Groningen. APECS International Council member. Dutch Poolsymposium Committee member and Arctic Congress 2024 Committee member as APECS International representative.

Youri Renkema - Biology Bachelor student with a specialisation in Ecology at Wageningen University & Research. Junior ecologist at Silvavir Ecologisch Advies.

Mareike Bach - Ph.D. student at University of Groningen. Microbiologist specialising in marine microalgae and DMSP production in sea ice habitats.
