LLM in Technology Law and Innovation

Programme requirements

In order to obtain an LLM degree in Technology Law and Innovation a candidate must successfully complete a total of 60 ECTS:
a.   Six compulsory courses:
- Competition Law and Market Regulation (6 ECTS)
- Consumers and Innovation (6 ECTS)
- Cybersecurity Law (6 ECTS)
- Data Driven Innovation (6 ECTS)
- Intellectual Property and Innovation (6 ECTS)
- The Law of Sustainable Technology (6 ECTS)
b. The Seminar Interactions between Legal Systems in Technology Law (6 ECTS)
c. A Law in Practice module (6 ECTS)
d. Master’s thesis (12 ECTS)

Programme structure

The programme consists of six courses (minimum), a seminar, a Law in Practice module and the writing of a Master’s thesis. The programme requires one year, full-time to complete.

Exchange period in the first semester (Fall term), as exchange student:

Competition Law and Market Regulation (6 ECTS)
- Consumers and Innovation (6 ECTS)
- Data Driven Innovation (6 ECTS)
- Intellectual Property and Innovation (6 ECTS)
- Seminar Interactions between Legal Systems in Technology Law (6 ECTS)

LLM completion in the second semester as registered regular LLM student (Winter/Spring term), after graduation at home university:
- Cybersecurity Law (6 ECTS)
- The Law of Sustainable Technology (6 ECTS)
- Law in Practice (6 ECTS)
- Master’s thesis (12 ECTS)
