LLM in International Commercial Law
Programme requirements
In order to obtain an LLM degree in International Commercial Law a candidate must successfully complete a total of 60 ECTS:
a. Six compulsory courses:
- Comparative Private International Law (6 ECTS)
- Comparative Property Law (6 ECTS)
- Comparative Tort Law (6 ECTS)
- Cross-border Commercial Transactions (6 ECTS)
- International Commercial Dispute Settlement Law (6 ECTS)
- International Contracts Law (6 ECTS)
b. The seminar Contracts Law (6 ECTS)
c. A Law in Practice module (6 ECTS)
d. Master’s thesis (12 ECTS)

Programme structure
The programme consists of six courses (minimum), a seminar, a Law in Practice module and the writing of a Master’s thesis. The programme requires one year, full-time to complete.
Exchange period in the first semester (Fall term), as exchange student:
- Comparative Private International Law (6 ECTS)
- Comparative Property Law (6 ECTS)
- International Commercial Dispute Settlement Law (6 ECTS)
- International Contracts Law (6 ECTS)
- Seminar Contracts Law (6 ECTS)
LLM completion in the second semester as registered regular LLM student (Winter/Spring term), after graduation at home university:
- Comparative Tort Law (6 ECTS)
- Cross-border Commercial Transactions (6 ECTS)
- Law in Practice (6 ECTS)
- Master’s thesis (12 ECTS)
