Artificial Intelligence in Art: Interdisciplinary Perspectives
How is artificial intelligence transforming artistic practice? And what ethical, legal and technical questions arise when AI is used to create art?
On Wednesday 30 September, the event Artificial Intelligence in Art: Interdisciplinary Perspectives brings together artists and researchers for an afternoon of conversation at the House of Connections in Groningen.
The programme features two panel discussions:

Perspectives from the Field: Media artists Ying-Chen Joyce Lin and Anna Musikhina discuss their artistic practices and use of AI, moderated by Dr Rosa Wevers of the Minerva Art Academy, Research Centre Art & Society.

Technical, Ethical and Legal Considerations: Assistant Professor Derya Soydaner, Davey Smand and PhD candidate Kleanthi Sardeli discuss technical, ethical and legal issues surrounding AI in art. The panel is moderated by Associate Professor Marina Markellou.
The event is chaired by Professor Jeanne Mifsud-Bonnici and is aimed at students, researchers and artists interested in the intersection of art and AI.
The event is funded by the Grassroots Grant of the Jantina Tames School of Digital Society, Technology and AI and organized by the University of Groningen in partnership with the Minerva Academy, Research Centre Art & Society.
