Opening academic year 2014-2015

The the opening of academic year 2014-2015 will take place on Wednesday 3 September 2014 at 3 p.m. for members of our academic community. On this day, the Stichting Oude Groninger Kerken will officially present the Van Tuikwerd Fellowship to Dr J.E.A. Kroesen. Due to this festive occasion the opening of the academic year will take place at the Der Aa-kerk.

Opening PThU

The opening of the academic year of our Faculty will be preceded by the opening of the PThU from 2 - 3 p.m. The Rector of the PThU, Prof. FG Immink, will give the opening speech and Dr Theo Boer will present the opening lecture. You are cordially invited to attend this opening ceremony as well.

• 3:00 - 3.30 p.m. Welcome with coffee & tea
• 3.30 - 3.40 p.m. Opening speech by the Dean, Professor C.K.M. von Stuckrad
• 3.40 - 3.55 p.m. Presentation of the Tuikwerd Fellowship
• 3.55 - 4.25 p.m. Opening lecture by Dr J.E.A. Kroesen followed by a lecture by Daan Udema, student at our Faculty
• 4.25 - 4.35 p.m. Presentation on the Gerardus van der Leeuw Fellowship
• 4.35 - 4.40 p.m. Presentation of the Lecturer of the Year award
• 4.40 - 4.45 p.m. Presentation of the Florentino Garcia Martinez Scholarship
• 4.45 - 5.00 p.m. Closing remarks by the Dean, Professor C.K.M. von Stuckrad
