In June 2010, Meredith submitted her first proposal to conduct analyses on LifeLines baseline data, to explore the self-reported quality of life for those participants who identify as caregivers. This proposal represents Stage I of a wider programme of research into "Family Demography: Patterns of Care."


Meredith has also been supervising Bachelor students, who are conducting qualitative interviews (in collaboration with Humanitas) to explore issues of informal care in Groningen.
