Het Nieuwe Noorden
In collaboration with Dagblad van het Noorden, the Knowledge Platform Liveable and Promising Groningen is working on a multimedia project about the future of the Groningen gas extraction area: 'Het Nieuwe Noorden'.
With this initiative, the Knowledge Platform wants to contribute to the dissemination of knowledge and encourage a dialogue about the future of the landscape, the economy, the energy transition and liveability.
Every month a longread appears in the Dagblad van het Noorden (in Dutch), an extensive online article supported by visual material. On 24 April, the second longread appeared: 'Groningen main station of the Dutch economy'. In this article, Frank von Hebel and Gerdt van Hofslot focus on the themes of economy, employment and knowledge. All articles are freely accessible via the website.
