Study Start Events

A good start is essential for study success and enjoying your time in Groningen. In order to make the most out of your stay in Groningen, it is necessary to get induced to your new (academic) environment. In the week before courses start, the university organizes various activities that will help you arranging practical matters and finding your way around the university and the city. When booking your plane ticket and/or accommodation, please make sure to arrive in Groningen on time!

On 29 January 2019, 07:00 to 20:00, a team of friendly, enthusiastic and very helpful students will be present at Schiphol Airport to help you on your way to Groningen. Sign up here and you will be welcomed at the arrival gates!

ESN Introduction Week

From Friday, February 1 until Wednesday, February 6 2019, ESN Groningen is organising the Introduction Week for all new incoming exchange students! It is the biggest introduction week for international students in Groningen.

Erasmus Student Network (ESN) Groningen is the biggest international student organisation in Groningen that organises more than 150 social, cultural, travel, career and sport activities throughout the year! To stay up to date check out the ESN Website , Facebook and Instagram !

BSS Faculty Introduction for Incoming Exchange Students

The Mobility Office team will hold an introductory presentation on important practical and study-related matters. You will need this information in order to make the most of your exchange semester @BSS. You will also receive your welcome kit.

After the presentation, you will have the possibility to ask questions and get your certificate of arrival signed (if required by your home university).

ESN Buddy Program

Sign up for the buddy program of ESN Groningen ! Your buddy can pick you up from the station, help you get through the first few days after your arrival and can help you with some practical things that need to be done. Your buddy will help you further with getting familiar with activities of the association and all the other possibilities of extra-curricular activities provided for you!
