Academic Calendar 2019-20
An academic year consists of two semesters. Each semester is divided into two blocks (a+b). Each block finishes with an exam period.
Semester 1:
2 September 2019 – 31 January 2020

*The University of Groningen Welcome Ceremony for international students takes place in the week of 26 August 2019.
Semester 2:
3 February 2020 – 10 July 2020
