Career Services BSS
Your career starts while you are studying. Career Services BSS aims to help shape that career. What direction do you want to take with your studies, what can you do after your studies? Are you thinking of a career as a psychologist, manager, teacher, behavioural scientist, consultant, researcher, HR advisor or educationalist? Or do you have no idea about your career yet but would you like to learn about opportunities or where to start orientating?
As a Faculty of Behavioural and Social Sciences student, you can contact Career Services BSS (Behavioural and Social Sciences). On the career site of the BSS student portal (login required) you will find information on:
Orientation to yourself and your career: Reflecting on yourself, your choice of study and your preference for certain organisations and companies. How to create your own unique profile.
Your studies and the job market: what job opportunities are there for specific bachelors and masters? What does the labour market look like? This information is updated regularly.
Develop your skills: What can you do during your studies to enhance your career-oriented skills and gain practical experience?
Networking and applying for a job: How do you do it, networking? What's involved? Create the perfect CV, and write a non-standard cover letter. Career Services BSS gives tips and offers support when applying for a job.
Internship vacancies: The faculty has its own database of internship vacancies, which is constantly being expanded with new internship vacancies.
Students of the BSS faculty can contact the Career Services BSS coordinator with questions about their career or orientation to it. She is happy to think along with you!
As a BSS student, you can also participate in the courses and workshops organised by Career Services RUG.
