Eligible candidates:

Early-career researchers (0-5 years post-PhD) who have conducted their PhD or at least two years of postdoctoral research abroad and have ties to the Netherlands (e.g., a bachelor’s or master’s degree from a Dutch university).

Grant information:

The fellowship provides funding for independent research at a Dutch institution. EUR 50.000 – 200.000 for each Fellowship. Each applicant can participate in a maximum of two editions of the Fellowship and submit a maximum of one Application per edition. The Fellow should devote a minimum of 0.8 FTE to the Research and the research period is a minimum of six months. Check article 8. expenses and conditions on the Ammodo website.

Purposes: To provide early-career researchers with the opportunity to further develop their academic careers by conducting independent, innovative scientific research at a host institution.

Programs: Biomedical Sciences, Humanities, Natural Sciences and Social Sciences

Available positions:

Each edition of the Fellowship consists of a total sum of up to € 800.000. A maximum of sixteen amounts each of € 50,000 are granted to applicants selected in accordance with these Ammodo Science Fellowship Regulations. A maximum of four amounts of € 50,000 (i.e. in total a maximum of € 200,000) may be granted to one Fellow.

The Application must be submitted in English to fellowship ammodo.org. the application submitted by the applicant is correctly completed and consists of:

  • The application form
  • The acceptance letter of the host institute
  • Two reference letters
