  • Finnish citizens and citizens of other countries who live in Finland can apply for grants for the purpose of work performed predominantly in Finland.
  • Only private individuals can apply for grants.
Grant information:

Purposes: to promote and support Finnish science, literature, art and popular education

  • Grants are for academic artistic or scientific work in different fields of science.
  • Finnish citizens and citizens of other countries who live in Finland can apply for grants for the purpose of work performed predominantly in Finland.
  • The Foundation awards individual working grants for doctoral dissertation finalization and for research visits.
  • The foundation grants 12- and 6-month personal working grants of E 26,000 and E 13,000 in total for artistic or scientific work. The working grant is intended for private individuals for full-time employment to cover ordinary personal living expenses for a certain period of time. It is possible to include costs related to the grant work, for example material costs.
