Artificial Intelligence
How can you develop an autonomous car? How does a computer recognize speech and emotions? How can software and devices be aligned to the way in which humans think? Whilst an answer to these questions was unthinkable a few years ago, nowadays they are of everyday importance. The bachelor Artificial Intelligence is an interdisciplinary programme that focuses on human thinking, artificial thinking (computers, robots) and behaviour in social systems (e.g. group behaviour) in order to predict and simulate behaviour.

Web class
This web class shows you the diversity of the field of Artificial Intelligence by exploring four important areas of AI. During the first week you are going to find out what intelligence really is by asking yourselves some philosophical questions. The second week is more technical; you will learn what an algorithm is and how you can use one to determine your way in a maze. Human intelligence and interaction between human and system are the central subjects of week three. And… To top it all off, in the last week you will combine all your acquired knowledge to find out what it takes to design a robot.
