Mission and Vision

Mission

Our Master’s in Sustainable Entrepreneurship envisions a paradigm shift from neoclassical industrial economics to sustainability on three different levels.

  • A sustainable society is our end goal. This is the basis of our programme, leading to a focus on sustainable entrepreneurship and sustainable societies instead of mainstream neoclassical and shareholder models.

  • Our programme is research-driven and transdisciplinary. It offers a high level of interaction with businesses in its research and leadership activities and entrepreneurship labs.

  • Our community is actively engaged in our Master’s programme. Students and stakeholders will participate in this learning community, addressing a wide variety of questions related to the three stages of successful sustainable entrepreneurship: design, implementation and evaluation.

Vision

A sustainable society is what the research, teaching and consultancy activities in the Master’s programme aim to achieve. The global economy is undergoing a transformation towards a sustainable society in which the interests of people, planet and profits together are the driving force, rather than neoclassical industrial economic systems. This transformation needs academic professionals who can demonstrate that sustainable entrepreneurship is key. Our programme trains these professionals.
