New academic year UGBS: start of executive masters and executive programmes

This week, the University of Groningen Business School has kicked off its academic year! Aimed at the development of professionals and the organisations they work for, our Business School offers executive education at an academic level combined with best practices and learnings from experts in business.
Our four Executive Masters are starting this month. We see a positive trend in the willingness of companies to invest in Master education for their finance professionals. The Master programmes that aim at accountants, M&A and Valuation professionals and financial controllers all reached the maximum number of participants this year. The finance professionals we encounter in our Master programmes are highly ambitious and eager to take the next step in their careers.
Last year has been a year of introducing new executive programmes, all of which have been evaluated very positively. Our participants indicate that they enjoy the course days and value the interaction with teachers and other participants in a relevant network very much. A lot of discussion is going on during the courses, which result in new insights and take-aways to implement in their daily work. We continue to see a rising need for new knowledge in both business as well as non-profit organisations.
As of September, new groups will start executive programmes, such as ESG Assurance, Customer Experience Management, as well as PE-courses for accountants and controllers. Furthermore, our programmes in Healthcare Management, HR Leadership and Energy Transition will see new editions this academic year.
Besides the open courses, several in-company programmes will take place this autumn, such as tailor made programmes for Enexis and ACM on energy transition. Like last year, we will educate a second group of CJIB professionals with a tailor made Customer Experience programme, as well as a second group of Achmea data analists.
Furthermore, we are organising several in-company courses for accountants on the obligatory subject Fraud. One of these is organised in cooperation with Immens, Interim Finance professionals.
At the moment the total portfolio of UGBS encompasses 4 executive masters, 6 executive programmes, 2 masterclasses, 2 PE-courses and various tailor-made inhouse programmes.
We wish everyone a successful new academic year!
