Walking the light with piezo
Generate power while you walk – it’s possible! A poster on piezoelectric materials, a University of Groningen specialism, was presented at the Science at the Heart of Society seminar. Joep Heusschen, an Industrial Engineering and Management student, and Leonora Verveld, a secondary school student at Praedinius Gymnasium, put together the information for the poster on piezoelectric sustainable energy. Their supervisor was Prof. Beatriz Noheda Pinuaga.
The weekly online video magazine Unifocus highlights topics related to the University of Groningen in the fields of research and society, student life, teaching, policy and internationalization.
