King of the meadowland
The move towards large-scale and intensive agriculture has had major consequences for farmland. This has also had a negative impact on nearly all types of waders breeding in these areas. Ysbrand Galama talks about the University of Groningen research in the Frisian meadowlands which should lead to effective conservation policy for the Black-tailed godwit.
