Op 6 en 7 maart 2025 organiseerden Stellenbosch University en de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen gezamenlijk een “triple-helix” netwerkevenement waarbij academici, leden van de overheid en vertegenwoordigers van het bedrijfsleven vier specifieke gebieden bespraken: energietransities, digitale transformatie, biomedische oplossingen en ondernemerschap en innovatie.
Universiteit Stellenbosch en de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen zetten zich samen in voor de internationalisering van hoger onderwijs en het opzetten van duurzame en gelijkwaardige samenwerkingsverbanden ten gunste van studenten, medewerkers en de samenleving.

She establised connections with counterparts in her field and interesting ideas for future collaboration emerged.
On 1 and 2 December 2022, a UG delegation led by Prof. Jouke de Vries visited Stellenbosch. During the two days, counterparts from University of Groningen and Stellenbosch University had the opportunity to engage with one another and to discuss areas of collaboration to further strengthen the partnership between the two universities.
Strategic Partner Universidade de São Paulo (USP) in Brazil invited the University of Groningen to participate in the celebration of its internationalization program (PrInt), taking place on 23 November 2022.
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of formal relations, Osaka University and the University of Groningen signed a strategic partnership agreement to strengthen their collaboration. In this agreement, there is a specific focus on contributing to the shared societal challenges.
