We admit it: making the sustainable choice isn’t always easy. That’s why we’ll guide you—literally— through green Groningen. Shop owners in the city and countryside may not always advertise it, but they do offer responsible products. Who are we to keep these local heroes hidden? Discover them with our interactive City Guide!

(PlatteGrunn is a play on words: 'Plattegrond ' is the Dutch word for a detailed city map, 'Grunn' refers to how locals call Groningen)

This sustainable city map is made in collaboration with Groener Groningen.

What do we mean by sustainable?

We focus on businesses that are engaged in sustainability or contribute to sustainability in the broadest sense of the word in some way. This can be by using/offering organic and local products or, for example, by offering a wide range of vegetarian and vegan options. The final product is a city map with information about the businesses and initiatives and where they can be found.
