Collaborative online international learning: methods and concepts for designing a virtual exchange (ENLIGHT course)
In this ENLIGHT course, participants have a chance to
-
become familiar with the different phases of a virtual exchange by discussing and documenting ideas for designing their own joint teaching initiative;
-
experience, based on their participation in this course together with colleagues from Ghent and Uppsala, where possible hurdles may lie for their future students and to developed strategies to prevent these in their own virtual exchange;
-
name relevant aspects for the preparation and implementation of virtual exchange in their own teaching contexts and evaluate their influence on their course design.

Attendance at all sessions is mandatory, because this way participants can experience the different phases of virtual exchange first-hand. This allows you to reflect on the processes and consider the relevance to your teaching.
If attending the workshop is not feasible, the Virtual Exchange working group at ENLIGHT is also planning to release a 90-minute self-study course providing an introduction to virtual exchange.
