Alumni drinks party in Washington D.C.

In November Prof. Elmer Sterken, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business and future Rector Magnificus of the University of Groningen, hosted a ‘borrel’ (drinks party) during his visit to Washington D.C.

Although the alumni were invited at very short notice, in less than a week 17 D.C. alumni confirmed their attendance at this gathering. During the reunion, Professor Sterken talked about the latest developments in Dutch higher education and about his own profession as a monetary economist.
