We are excited to announce the upcoming conference "Informed Citizenship for All: Digital Literacy as Prerequisite for an Inclusive Society", taking place on 21 January 2026, 09:00–17:00.

The event brings together researchers, policymakers, educators, and practitioners to explore the role of digital literacy in shaping inclusive and equitable societies. With a keynote by prof. Dr. Julian McDougall, and thematic breakout sessions, we will dive into topics such as:

  • Digital citizenship and participation;
  • Effective digital inclusion practices;
  • Youth and media literacy education;
  • Digital literacies in informal and nonformal settings;
  • Socio-digital inequalities;
  • A closing panel on designing inclusive digital futures.
