'In the Strategic Plan, we have set ourselves the goal of contributing to solutions to the major societal challenges of our time. Climate change presents us with a task that should not be underestimated. A task that requires a cross-disciplinary approach, a combination of scientific knowledge and skills. The appointment of these three professors affiliated with the University of Groningen, experts in the field of behaviour, energy markets and climatology, underlines the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration and the strength of our broad university. I am extremely proud of the involvement of our professors in national climate policy.'
