In his contributions written especially for this book, Raoul de Jong involves his readers in his personal search for his Surinamese and Groningen roots.

This book also contains work by eleven students from the University of Groningen who, guided by Raoul de Jong, delved into stories in and about Groningen. Their own texts take us to unknown places in the city and province. Groningen door dromersogen shows their imagination of the North.
