New UG open access figures 2018
In 2018, 55% of all UG/UMCG peer-reviewed articles were open access - including gold, hybrid and green open access. Gold open access accounted for 20% (up from 16% in 2017), while hybrid accounted for 19% and green for 17%. The overall share of open access publications rose from 37% in 2016 to 51% in 2017.
The Faculty of Science and Engineering has the most open access publications (67% OA), followed by the Faculty of Spatial Sciences and by the Faculty of Arts (both 61%).
