Request-a-copy

In the University’s research portal we offer you Request-a-copy. Request-a-copy operates on the principle of peer-to-peer sharing: if a publication in the portal is not immediately available as a full text due to an embargo or restriction, a portal visitor can request the text from the author.

The University Library (UB) acts as an intermediary and forwards the request to the author of the publication. The author will decide whether or not to share the publication. Publications will not be shared without the consent of the author. Depending on the author's reply, the UB will handle the request by either sending the publication or sending a notification that the author has decided not to share.

This implies that as a UG author, you will receive a message from the library when someone requests one or more of your publications using Request-a-copy. For more information, please consult the FAQ.
