The Library Wikipedia Edit-a-thon at the Night of Arts and Science

22 May 2019

"Let’s make Wikipedia more inclusive"

During the Night of Arts and Science, the University of Groningen Library will host a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon focussing on articles that lack reliable as well as diverse and inclusive sources.

Articles that need editing will range from intersectionality to African-American women in politics to anti-indigenous racism. You choose an entry that matches your field of interest and expertise; together with Library information specialists you will learn to identify reliable resources.

Introduction by Januscha Schmidt

Januschka Schmidt (student Research Master Religious Studies) will give a concise introduction on critical research methods and advise us on how to implement critical citation practices.
Let’s improve the quality of Wikipedia entries and make the world’s largest encyclopedia even more inclusive!
