Request-a-copy in 2020
Request-a-copy enables users of the UG research portal to request publications that are not yet full text available (because of an embargo or restriction). The University Library (UB) acts as an intermediary and forwards the request to the author of the publication. He or she will decide whether or not to share the publication. Publications will not be shared without the consent of the author. Depending on the author's reply, the UB will handle the request by either sending the publication or sending a notification that the author has decided not to share.
Request-a-copy is an online service and because of that completely corona-proof. In 2020 a total of 1,523 request-a-copy requests were received, an average of 127 per month. In 71% of these cases the authors agreed to share the full text.
Most requested publications in 2020:
-
Novel forms of governance with high levels of civic self-reliance – Hiska Ubels
67 requests, the author agreed to share in all cases! -
Nose in, fingers out: essays on board-governance effectiveness – Irene Mostert
64 requests -
When the shore becomes the sea – Yftinus van Popta
