Special Collections receives remarkable gift
Friday 20 November, in the Special Collections research room UG Library director Marjolein Nieboer was handed a beautiful gift by Mrs Dini Stokkentreeff of Delden. It concerned three editions of the bible, at one time bound together in one volume (a so-called convolute).
The convolute contians these editions:
- Biblia.
This pristine volume is a fine addition to our collection of Dutch language bibles that consists of more than 700 editions, among which the very first bible printed in Dutch (Delft 1477).
