Pronunciation Group Course

Duration: 6 weeks
Studyload: 6 contact hours and 12 hours of self study
Audience: For those who have reached level A1 to B1 in Dutch. Intended for students whose mother tongue differs strongly from Dutch in rhythm, melody and intonation.

Course Description

Do you often hear that people don’t understand you well when you speak Dutch? Would you like to learn how to speak Dutch in an understandable manner?

Dutch has its own rhythm, melody and intonation. If these qualities are very different in your mother tongue compared to those in Dutch, it may be extra difficult for you to speak understandably. Examples of mother tongues where this might be an issue are Mandarin, Korean, Vietnamese, Filipino and Japanese. This is also often the case for other languages spoken in East Asia.

In this training course, you will get to work on your pronunciation with our trainer (speech therapist and NT2 teacher) and your fellow course participants. During the training course, you will form a foundation for the further development of speaking understandably in Dutch.

You may follow this course alongside a Dutch course.
