Our regular group courses take place at set times and locations, and they have a set curriculum. We offer most group courses several times a year. You can find the start dates and information on how to enrol in our webshop.
Before enrolling, choose the intensity and format of course that suits you.
Regular: Most of our regular group courses are of a regular intensity. This means that you will have one or two lessons per week, which are usually an hour and a half to two hours long. The total duration of the course varies from six to 12 weeks. For details of the study load for each course, see the relevant course page in the webshop.
Intensive: We offer intensive group courses in January, June, July, and August. These courses cover the same material as the regular courses but in a shorter period of time. You will typically have lessons four days a week, with one or two lessons a day. The course lasts two or three weeks. For details of the study load for each course, see the relevant course page in the webshop.
Civic integration:: The three Dutch courses we offer for civic integration have a different level of intensity to our regular courses. These courses allow students more time to learn Dutch. You will have three three-hour lessons a week. The course lasts 12 weeks in total.
On site: Most of our regular group courses are taught on site. This means that you will have your lessons in one of the UG’s university buildings. To find out the location, check the course timetable in our webshop.
Online: We offer some courses online. Our online courses cover exactly the same material as our courses taught on site. To find out the location, check the course timetable in our webshop. You can learn more about what to expect from an online course at the Language Centre here.
