Italian

The Italian language courses of the University of Groningen Language Centre focus mainly on speaking and understanding Italian. More attention will be paid to reading and writing skills from level 2 onwards. Grammar is not a goal in itself in our Italian language courses, but will be used to support the language acquisition.

Levels

  • Level 0>A1 is for participants who speak little or no Italian.
  • Level A1>A2 is for participants who can speak and understand some Italian and can get by in a simple conversation about everyday topics if the other party helps them.
  • Level A2>A2/B1 is for participants who have taken the Level A1 > A2 Italian course at the Language Centre or have reached a comparable level of proficiency.
  • Level A2/B1>B1 is for participants who have taken the Level A2 > A2/B1 Italian course at the Language Centre or have reached a comparable level of proficiency.
    • (this course is not offered during our September - December 2019 course round)
