MAGICC project selected as "success story" by European Commission

30 November 2015

The MAGICC project has been selected as a "success story" by a panel of experts from the Directorate-General for Education and Culture of the European Commission. It has also been marked as such in the Erasmus+ Project Results Platform.

The Erasmus+ Project Results Platform is a database where you can find descriptions and results of projects supported by the European Commission under the Erasmus+ Programme for Education, Training, Youth and Sport, as well as its predecessor programmes. European Commission "Success stories" are finalised projects that have distinguished themselves by their impact, contribution to policy-making, innovative results and/or creative approach and can be a source of inspiration for others.

The University of Groningen Language Centre was heavily involved in the Life-long Learning project MAGICC, funded by the Council of Europe. The main aim of this 3-year project was to create modules for the Bachelor's and Master's levels, through which students learn to work in a variety of languages and with different cultures simultaneously, building up skills and competences relevant to the workplace they will find themselves in after their studies.
