New: open access books at University of Groningen Press

The University of Groningen Press (UGP) has been offering a platform for publishing electronic journals of faculties and/or researchers working at or with the University of Groningen for several years now.

The aim is to stimulate open access, so that researchers or interested readers all over the world can find the information and gain access without barriers. Some twenty journals and journal archives have been brought together on the University of Groningen Press website until now.

The imprint is managed technically and editorially by the University of Groningen Library.

Books and series

Since April 2019, UGP also publishes books and series. These publications are also published open access, usually in PDF format.

There are three categories of publications:

• Series, such as the Horst Gerson lecture series;
• Scientific publications
• Campus Publications: e.g. books written by students of University College Groningen or more popular publications by and about the UG.
