Longer opening hours, more study places, easy reservation: the UB as of 1 September
As a result of the relaxation of the corona measures, the number of study places in the University Library will be increased. The opening hours of the UB City Centre will be extended; coffee corners and terraces will be open again. The UB Zernike will reopen on 1 September.
Opening hours as of 1 September
- UB City Centre: 8:30 am - 10 pm (Mon-Sun)
- UB Zernike: 9 am - 5 pm (Mon-Fri)
Reservation flexible study places
The study places and studios in the University Library must be reserved in advance.
How does it work?
-
Specific spot: students can pick a specific study place
(Note: after you have selected a start time, choose your desired end time underneath the calendar by using the drop-down menu) - Easy check-in: scan the QR code on the reserved table.
- Finished early? Check out and make space for a fellow student.
- No show? If you have not checked in after 30 minutes, the reservation will expire.
Inside the building
As in the rest of the university, you must wear a face mask in the hallways of the UB. Once you have taken a seat, your face mask may be removed. The coffee rooms are open; there are no seats. You may bring coffee/tea into the reading room. Also, the terraces on the 2nd and 4th floor are accessible again.
