All digital dissertations received in 2019!
The PhD-regulations require that PhD-students submit the printed and digital versions of their dissertations at least three weeks prior to the promotion date. Most PhD-students adhere to this rule perfectly, but in some cases a lot of reminders are necessary to bring the PhD-student to submit the digital version of his or her dissertation. Recently however, the mission for 2019 was accomplished: all dissertations for 2019 (546 in total) have been received in a digital version!
All dissertations can be found in the UG research database . Whenever possible, dissertations are made available open access, without restrictions, but in many cases (temporary) embargoes are necessary. The main reason for placing a temporary embargo on the entire dissertation is a commercial edition of the dissertation, publishers typically demand an embargo in this case. The most common reason for placing separate chapters under embargo is that the chapters will be published as a journal article at a later date.
